Culture of Honor

A new friend gave me this book to read. A Culture of Honor by Danny Silk. Silk is a pastor at Bethel Church in Redding, California. He writes about what makes up a healthy church, whether it's through their counseling program, leadership diversity, relationships amongst the congregation, and general life programs. I have gleaned lots of information from the book, and would love for the leaders in my church to read and discuss it. Would applying the counseling principles recommended by Silk help us in some of our struggles to help those hurting around us? Would our specific church grow stronger as a body? and thus have more of a ministry in our larger community? According to Silk, all of these things would happen.

I finished this book and was definitely challenged to try to put into practice what I had read.
