Christmas Eve 2009

It's Christmas Eve and plans appear to be coming together. The menu is Crown Roast Pork with Wild Rice/apricot/ginger stuffing with a Madeira gravy, acorn squash, brussel sprouts, tossed green salad, mashed potatoes, jello salad (to make the young' uns happy), and Red Velvet Cake. I went to The Wine Company and got a beautiful French Vouvray wine to accompany the strong, fruity flavors in the stuffing.

We will attend a Lessons and Carols service at 5pm, then come home to a feast. After feasting, we will roll into bed. And on the morrow, in celebration of the birth of Christ, we will feast yet again!

Eggs, Grits, breakfast meats, homemade whole wheat cinnamon rolls, mimosas, sparking cider.
