Hot Chocolate Sauce

 Combine in a saucepan:

3/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup butter

2 squares unsweetened chocolate or 6 tbsp cocoa powder

1/4 tsp salt

Cook over medium heat, stirring until blended. Add 1/3 cup milk. Stir constantly until it thickens. Remove from heat and add 2 tsp vanilla.
